My name is Peg Eddy. I've been a member of VGL for several years and am finally getting around to introducing myself here. I began doing genealogy in 1974 shortly after moving to Vermont from Albany, NY, and have been hooked ever since.

Both of my parents were born and raised in Johnstown, New York, where I also grew up.

My Irish line is through my mother, Dorothy Noone Osborne:
NOON(E) - Johnstown, Fulton county, NY; East Martinsburg & Lowville, Lewis county, NY; County Sligo, Ireland.
GREER / GREAR / GRIER / GREYOR - probably County Roscommon, Ireland.
REGAN - probably County Roscommon, Ireland.
MON(G)HAN - probably County Galway, Ireland.
STA(U)NTON - County Wicklow & perhaps County Dublin, Ireland.

My English/German lines are through my father, Marvin Osborne:
OSBORN(E) - Fulton and Greene counties, NY; New Haven, CT; East Hampton, Long Island, NY; Ashford, Kent, England.
REYNOLDS - Fulton county, NY.
PARMENTER - Fulton and Hamilton counties, NY; Massachusetts.
MURDOCK - NY.
TYRRELL / TERRILL - NY; CT.
BAILEY - NY.
COONS / KUNTZ - Fulton & Columbia counties, NY; Germany.
ROSSMAN / ROUSMAN - Columbia county, NY; Germany.

I'm still waiting to find a stray French-Canadian ancestor who will be my portal to all those wonderful Canadian records, but so far, no joy. But there's always hope .... and many more ancestors to find!
