I am really enjoying the Sochi Olympics watching the figure skaters and skiers perform intricate programs and race on challenging courses. Each of these athletes have trained many years to be able to compete at this high-level. I am not an athlete by any means and I do not have aspirations for improving my physical capabilities.

But…..
I like to figure out puzzles.
I like searching through books and old papers.
I like organizing and making and completing items on lists.
I like family lore, history and genealogy.

Do you have these same qualities? Would you like to become an “Olympic-class” genealogist?

If you answered “Yes” then the Vermont Genealogy Library has a class for you.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 10:30am to noon, VT-FCGS member and Certified Genealogist, Joanne Polanshek will share the journey that brought her from amateur researcher to professional genealogist.

Even if you are not planning to become a professional genealogist, this is an excellent opportunity for you to learn how you can be a better “Olympic” genealogist.
